Dominic P. Madigan
Director
Dominic concentrates his practice in the areas of health care and intellectual property law.
Dominic provides transactional and regulatory representation to health care clients including hospital systems, long-term care providers, and physicians and physician practice groups. He also represents clients in Medicare, Medicaid, and other reimbursement disputes and advises health care providers on federal and state regulatory issues, including Certificate of Public Need, licensure and Stark law compliance.
In the Intellectual Property arena, Dominic advises individuals and domestic and international companies on strategic intellectual property issues, negotiates and drafts licensing and other core intellectual property agreements, and manages the firm’s trademark and copyright registration and protection practices.
Prior to joining the firm, Dominic served as a judicial clerk to the Hon. John D. Butzner, Jr., Senior Judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Working as a writer, editor and policy analyst prior to law school, Dominic specialized in the area of federal food and nutrition policy. Dominic served on the Articles Review Board of the Virginia Law Review.
