Marketing Coordinator (Part-Time - 20 hours per week)

Litigation practice group seeks a part-time Marketing Coordinator to oversee and coordinate educational seminars, assist with production of electronic newsletter, desktop publication duties, and website management, to serve as primary point of contact with printers and designers, and to act as liaison between lawyers and clients/marketing contacts. Incumbent will be responsible for coordinating the development and execution of practice group events including an annual seminar that attracts 150 prospects and clients.  The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, or another relevant field, and will demonstrate proficiency with the MS Office software, including Excel and PowerPoint.  Social media expertise is essential as the candidate will post company updates on a variety of platforms. Required skills include initiative, adaptability, and proven experience utilizing exemplary written and verbal communication abilities.  Experience in a law firm is a plus.

Healthcare Paralegal

McCandlish Holton seeks a full-time paralegal to join our team of healthcare attorneys.  Our paralegals and attorneys work in a progressive, friendly environment to provide high quality services to our clients in a combination of regulatory, corporate, and transactional matters.  We seek an energetic team member who has strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a keen attention to detail.  A successful candidate will also possess and exercise good judgment, be able to interact with clients and state regulators in a professional manner, and, most of all, possess a willingness to learn.  Day-to-day responsibilities include research, writing, and analysis of legal issues, marketing, and prioritizing and carrying out assignments for the team of healthcare attorneys.  A bachelor’s degree and proficiency with Word and Excel are required.  If you are interested in joining our team, please send your resume and a cover letter to

Workers' Compensation Paralegal

The Workers' Compensation Practice Group at McCandlish Holton defends cases throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia, representing Employers, Carriers and Self-Insured and cases from the Deputy Commissioner level to the Supreme Court. Our Paralegals and Attorneys work in a team environment that is fast-paced, high-pressured and deadline intensive. We seek talented team members who are well organized, detail oriented and adaptable with the willingness and ability to learn and implement a defined prioritization system. Successful candidates will have demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills and be able to read and understand what they are reading at an advanced level.  A college degree or relevant experience is required. We provide on-the-job training. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills are a must.
